The New Zealand Cycle Classic 2018 will take place from 16th-21st January and now is the time to get stuck into preparation for one of the two biggest stage races in the country.  The race centres around the Wairarapa region of New Zealand and draws the best and brightest in New Zealand cycling as well as some of the hottest properties in international racing.

This year will see six New Zealand teams accepted into the 6-day race run by Jorge Sandoval and the team.  The New Zealand Cycle Classic retains its status as the country’s only UCI 2.2 race, established in 1988, and today it still remains true to its history as a springboard for the future global stars on two wheels.

From Robbie McEwen to Julian Dean, Hayden Roulston to George Bennett, Richie Porte to Michael Torckler, so many names both from our shores and others have ridden here and gone on to do great things.  Will you be the next name to join the illustrious list?

One composite team will feature in the 2018 edition of the race for individual riders wishing to enter, enquiries for the composite team need to be made to the race director.
