Over four decades the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge has gained a reputation as one of New Zealand sports biggest annual sporting events.  The event provides something for lovers of just about everything on two wheels from mountain biking to elite racing to endurance cycling.


From the Kid’s Heart Ride at 5km to the Bookabach quarter lake, the main event the Bike Barn Round the Lake, all the way up to the Maxi Enduro over 1280km, the road will play host to seven different categories over the weekend.  Along with these will be the elite men’s and women’s races including the Friday night criteriums.


On top of the various road options there are also five different mountain biking categories that range in distance from 16km to 85km.
