The Dynamo Winter Fun Ride Series is back.  The first event of the new season, the Winter Fun Ride Series is the ideal way to break back into racing again after the cold winter months.  The series takes place over three weekends in the Waikato and draws hundreds of riders to Matamata, Hamilton and Cambridge over the course of the events.

Something for everyone is the main theme of the Dynamo Winter Fun Ride Series; presented by Dynamo Events.  Each of the three rounds in the series consists of a short course and long course option.  Round 1 of the series takes place in Hamilton with the riders starting and finishing in Tamahere and completing either a 50km or 75km course.  Two climbs in the short course and 4 in the long course are on hand to make things interesting and provide a bit of a challenge en route to the finish.

Round 2 of the series in Leamington, Cambridge is on paper the lumpiest of the series, with the 40km or 70km options both providing lots of rolling roads if not big climbs to navigate.  The Cambridge roads are a favourite with Dynamo Events, who have used the picturesque and ideal cycling roads for Age Group Road National Championships and Team Championship events also.

The finale of the series takes place in Matamata, with 50km and 80km options available on two different loops – shorter and longer – that take the field on what is the flattest of the events.  One significant climb features along the course, but that comes early on in the day for both courses, with the ride flattening out significantly from there.

Get signed up and jump on board for this year’s Winter Fun Ride Series, with entry fees starting at just $40 for juniors, $55 for others for just the one event.
