Next month the inaugural NZ Bike Expo will take place at the Wigram Air Force Museum in Christchurch. Krissy O’Connor and the team are looking forward to welcoming a host of exhibitors from up and down the country, including the team at Yeti Cycles.
We had the pleasure of catching up with Mat Wright from Yeti Cycles to talk about the brand, and what they will be presenting at this year’s NZ Bike Expo. The team are all about race-built and race-bred endurance machines in the mountain biking circuit and they will be bringing their models and expertise in that field to the Expo.
Event organiser Krissy is stoked that Yeti will be at the NZ Bike Expo, saying, “The organisers of the NZ Bike Expo are really impressed by Yeti and Back Alley Bikes – Mat/Kashi and Rufus have taken the intent of the Expo and run with it. It’s fantastic to see the distributor come alongside the local retailer, and work together to ensure the public will have access to a great product.”
“Yeti have a long heritage in mountain bike manufacturing, they continue to push the boundaries and only last year had a bike at the highest level of international racing – with Richie Rude winning the Enduro World Series.”
With the team at Back Alley Bikes, Yeti Cycles will be providing a very hands on and practical experience for visitors to the NZ Bike Expo which will involved being able to try out ‘a showcase of what Yeti Cycles are’ in the words of Mat Wright. Check out our interview with Mat above for more information on Yeti Cycles.
