Michael Torckler – stayed upright . . . just

To say that the 2017-2018 summer has been one to remember for Michael Torckler is a massive understatement.  This has been one of the best summers of his career.  From stage wins and a stint in yellow at the SBS Bank Tour of Southland, to third place in the Elite Road National Championships, playing his part in securing the general classification at the New Zealand Cycle Classic for Hayden McCormick to second place in the UCI 1.2 Gravel & Tar Classic; Torckler has scarcely put a foot wrong this summer.

One of the things Torckler can attribute his success to during this summer has been reuniting with former coach Andrew Patterson.  Among the things to come out of that partnership renewing has been a return to the resolve to make the most of the time Torckler has as one of New Zealand’s out-and-out finest riders.
