Finn Fisher-Black has signed for Team Jumbo-Visma Cycling Academy for 2020. The reigning U19 Oceania road and time trial champion will form part of the new team forming for next season.
It’s been seemingly inevitable that a big move would come for Finn Fisher-Black. You can’t break the U19 world record in the individual pursuit and claim double Oceania titles along with a string of results on the international scene without drawing serious attention to yourself.
At just 17 years of age Fisher-Black has a huge future ahead of him, and he’s taken the big step of joining what’s set to be one of the most exciting development teams in world cycling next year. Team Jumbo-Visma Academy will race as a Continental Team in 2020, with a roster that currently sits at seven riders.
Fisher-Black is the only non-Dutch rider in the line up at present, joining Lars Boven, Olav Kooij, Gijs Leemreize, Rick Pluimers, Axel van der Tuuk and Hidde van Veenendaal.
Jumbo-Visma’s World Tour outfit is the current squad of fellow Kiwi George Bennett.
More to come . . .
