The Vantage Elite & U23 Road National Championships are returning to Napier in 2019.  Over the three days of racing six national champions jerseys will be handed out to New Zealand’s finest riders as they take on the road race and time trial courses that have become iconic in the last three years.

Opening this year’s National Championships will be the BDO time trial at the Church Road Winery; 20km for the women and 40km for the men.  In 2018 Hamish Bond was crowned elite men’s national champion in the time trial for the first time, while Georgia Williams took the first of two national titles over the weekend and Ian Talbot and Georgia Catterick took the U23 titles.

The Vantage Windows and Doors road races for elite and U23 men and women kicks off on Saturday with the women racing 109km and the men racing 166km on the Sunday.  2018 saw Georgia Williams complete the double while Jason Christie claimed his second national title in three years.  James Fouche and Grace Anderson were crowned U23 men’s and women’s champions.
