The Oceania Track Cycling Chamionships will see the best and brightest of Australia and New Zealand go head to head for UCI points and the title of the best in Oceania.  Racing for elite and U19 riders will take place at the Avantidrome from 20th-23rd November.

Cycling New Zealand are proud to host this year’s Oceania Track Cycling Championships at the Avantidrome, where World, Olympic and Commonwealth medallists will pit their abilities against each other on the velodrome with the action beginning each day from 9am for the morning sessions and from 4pm for the evening sessions; with the Thursday night session taking place from 3pm.

Tickets will be sold at the door only and are $5 for adults in the mornings, $10 in the evenings, while children U12 have free admittance for the morning and $5 admittance for the evenings.  For the full week pass the prices are $40 for adults, $20 for children.

The New Zealand team for the Oceania Track Cycling Championships is:

Sprint: Emma Cumming, Natasha Hansen, Olivia Podmore. 

Endurance: Michaela Drummond (Manawatu), Rushlee Buchanan (Waikato), Bryony Botha (Auckland), Elyse Fraser (Canterbury), Kirstie James (Southland), Racquel Sheath (Waikato).

U19 Female:  Sprint: Britney Greene (Canterbury), Jessie Banks (Mid Canterbury), Nicole Marshall (Southland), Shaane Fulton (Tasman), Sophie-Leigh Bloxham (Horowhenua).

Endurance: Ally Wollaston (Auckland), Annamarie Lipp (Canterbury), Emily Paterson (Southland), Eva Parkinson (Waikato), Helena Rikiti (Southland), Jenna Merrick (Auckland), McKenzie Milne (Waikato), Sami Donnelly (Canterbury), Sammi Ogle (Canterbury).

Elite Male:

Sprint: Ethan Mitchell, Eddie Dawkins, Sam Webster (Auckland), Zac Williams. (Also Jordan Castle (Manawatu) riding for West Coast North Island, Callum Saunders – Tasman, Bradly Knipe – Southland).

Endurance: Regan Gough (Hawkes Bay), Jared Gray (Waikato), Hugo Jones (Canterbury), Nick Kergozou (Southland), Dylan Kennett (South Canterbury), Sexton, Stewart.

Under-19 Male:

Sprint:  Angus Claasen (Manawatu), Conor Shearing (Southland), Patrick Clancy (Waikato), Thomas Garbett (Manawatu -Team Sprint only).
