Nov 24th, 11. The final battle of the 2010 Tour de France is being held in Switzerland tonight when the parties in the WADA and UCI versus Alberto Contador and RFEC case give their closing arguments.
The Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) has this week been hearing the case which centered on Contador's positive test for clenbuterol the year of his 3rd Tour de France victory.
It is an appeal by the International Cycling Union (UCI) and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against the decision of the Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) exonerating Contador from any sanction.
Contador's key defense is the clenbuterol came from tainted meat imported from Spain during the Tour.
The hearing was originally hoped to be heard in June, but delays extended the timeframe first to August and finally to November.
In a statement issue today, CAS said the decision, along with its reasoning, is not expected before the end of the year.
