Henderson 5th in First Stage of Beijing

Oct 9th, 12. Kiwi Greg Henderson has crossed the line 5th in the opening stage of the Tour of Beijing.

The 117km Stage saw a 90+km breakaway caught with less than two laps remaining, allowing the teams to organise themselves for a sprint finish.

Liquigas Canondale's Elia Viviani took the stage win, with Omega Pharma-Quickstep's Andrew Fenn taking second, follwed by Team Sky's Edvald Boasson Hagen.
