Team Sky riders to sign declarations |
|
Oct 18th, 12. Team Sky have told their riders they will need to sign a declaration that they have no past or present involvement with doping, a process that looks like all Pro division teams are likely to follow.
In a process likely to be followed by the majority of UCI World Tour licence-holders, Team Sky has asked all staff and riders to declare any previous or current doping links.
The Tour de France winning squad will lead this process.
"Over the coming weeks we will talk individually with each team member and ask everyone, at every level of the team, to sign up to a clear written policy, confirming that they have no past or present involvement in doping," Team Sky said in a statement.
This is a start to cleaner honest racing, a thing that has been lacking over the last decade.
