Clinton Avery wins in Brittany

ClintonAveryThumbJul 24th, 11. When Clinton Avery won the Two Days of Ledegem in Belgium last weekend it signaled a return to great form for the Rotorua rider who has had more than his fair share of setbacks this season.

At the time, the 23 year old said he was looking forward to his next event, this weekend's UCI 2.2 Kreiz Breizh Elites in Brittany, France.

"My form is back!" he exclaimed.

It sure is.

Avery won the 174km opening stage between Calanhel to Plouray after bridging to the leading quartet 2km before the finish line. He then attacked on the last roundabout with 300m to go and crossed the line victorious.

As well as the stage win and leaders jersey, Avery also earned the points jersey.
