Buchanan wins Elite womens National title

Jan 11th, 14. Rushlee Buchanan has won her 2nd Nation Elite road title in Christchurch today.


"I like to win the hard way" is what Rushlee Buchanan told waiting media after finishing the 120km Nation Elite womens road race in first place today.


In an early break with her fellow Olympian team members Jamie Nielsen and Lauran Ellis, Buchanana survived the attacks to win her second Elite nation road title since 2010.


Seasoned professional rider Linda Villumsen (Wiggle Honda) held on to second place with todays 'most aggressive' rider Reta trotman in third.
