Feb 27th '09, Wairarapa. In her first ever cycling tour event, double rowing Olympian Amber Halliday showed the value of years of cross training as she rode across the line first to win the stage and clinche the overall title in the NZCT Women’s Tour of New Zealand. Rachel Mercer from Team Cyclosport was the best placed kiwi.

Feb 26th '09, Wairarapa. In hot and calm conditions the field showed it's top form by attacking through the rolling hills and vineyard lined roads in today's 122km race from Masterton to Martinborough and back. In the end it came back down to the sprinters, the stage win again going to tour leader Rochelle Gilmore.

Feb 25 '09 - Wairarapa The Australia National Team have both the green and gold jerseys after day 1 of the NZCT Women's Tour of New Zealand. Rochelle Gilmore won two of the three intermediate sprints as well as the final race over the line to finish the stage with the sprint competition's green jersey and the overall leader's yellow jersey.

Feb 23rd '09, Stage 8 ToC. This year was the first time the Tour of California had a ninth stage, and it was not an easy one. With four King of the Mountain climbs everyone including the people who had camped on Palomar Mountain for two days, expected to see some action. Glen Chadwick provided that action for the kiwi supporters.

Feb 23 '09, Stage8, ToC. Levi Leipheimer won his third Tour of California today in an unchallenged final stage. "It just gets sweeter and sweeter" said Leipheimer of his success. "Winning a third time, its like .. it's an exclamation mark for me"

Feb 22 Stage 7 TOC. Double olympic medallist Hayden Roulston almost won today's Stage 7 in the Amgen Tour of California as he showed his power by attacking and attacking his ten man breakaway. He is now the 21st fastest rider at the Amgen Tour of California.

Feb 21, '09, Hamilton. Former New Zealand dual sport representative Toni Bradshaw showed a welcome return to top form to capture the women's race when she led out 1km from the finish.

Feb 21, '09, Hamilton. Gordon McCauley, who won the national road title in Te Awamutu recently, cleared out from the breakaway pack 8kms from the finish to win the Hamilton Classic, part of the Perry Foundation Rev 120 Cycling Festival.

Feb 21 Stage 6 ToC. 24km flat out on a bike may not be everyones idea of a good time but the kiwi contingent of Hayden Roulston, Peter Latham, Jeremy Vennell and Glen Chadwick were mixing it up with the best in the world at todays Amgen Tour of California Individual Time Trial. Vennell was the best of the kiwis ending in 17th place over all.

Feb 21, Stage6 ToC. Levi Leipheimer smashed the rest of the field today and won today's 24km race of truth in 30m40s, eight seconds ahead of the field. He extends his General Classification lead to 36 seconds.
