The new Litespeed Archon Carbon 1

"After 2 solid years of design, development, and the same rigorous testing and product evaluation we invest in our titanium bikes, we're thrilled to introduce a line of carbon bikes that truly lives up to the Litespeed name and our long legacy of design innovation," said Peter Hurley, CEO of American Bicycle Group.

"Our design objective with the C-Series line was simple," Hurley added, "produce a bike that utilised the unique material advantages of carbon to offer genuine and distinct aerodynamic innovations and performance at an industry competitive price.

"The result has been a palpable sense of excitement from our team, for sure, but also a whole new way of looking at integrated aero features that our designers eventually dubbed ‘AeroLogic.'"

"One AeroLogic feature, distinct to the C-Series line, includes the ‘shrouded' water bottle mounting at the down tube which creates a more efficient, gentle airflow around the water bottle and improves overall frame aerodynamics by reducing turbulent airflow over the rear triangle."

Along with the absolute latest in composite technology, ride-tuning techniques ported from years of renowned titanium development, and enhanced semi-sloping road race geometry, the C-Series line of bikes promises to deliver a truly remarkable frame and riding experience to a whole new generation of Litespeed devotees.

David Johnson of Bike Fixation, the New Zealand distributor for Litespeed, was very excited when he told RoadCycling.co.nz about the release of the carbon Archon.

Now, after seeing the photos and reading the details, it's easy to see why.

With any luck there will be a demo model in New Zealand available to inspect and fully review in the next couple of months.

eb-impressionen-01After the experience reviewing the LiteSpeed Siena, RoadCycling.co.nz are certainly looking forward to seeing if the Archon Carbon lives up to expectations.

The Archon carbon line was launched officially launched at Eurobike yesterday.
