Mavic has announced a voluntary recall of its R-SYS front wheels as a precautionary safety measure. Mavic have identified that the carbon tubular spokes of the R-SYS front wheel may break during use in certain circumstances and causing the rider to lose control and possibly fall, potentially sustaining injury.
Don’t Mavic make great wheels! The race wheels I use on my Scott Addict R1 are a set of 2006 Mavic Cosmic Carbones.
The Campagnolo Eurus wheels I have are now a couple of years old but I thought you might still be interested in my views about how they perform when they are ridden by an amateur oversize rider.
