SMP Strike Saddle Review

smpstryke.jpg

Anyone who rides their bike for extended periods of time will agree that the saddle is one of your most important things on the bike. Get the wrong one and riding is just agony. Get the right one and you can ride all day. I believe I have found that dream saddle. The SMP Strike.

Campagnolo Record Groupset Review
Recently with the upgrade of my race bike to the Scott Addict R1 I got the opportunity to replace my aging campy record for the latest 2008 Record 10 speed group. Visually in my opinion Campagnolo have blitzed the field with their groupsets.

Mavic Cosmic Carbone Review
scottcr1_sml.jpgDon’t Mavic make great wheels! The race wheels I use on my Scott Addict R1 are a set of 2006 Mavic Cosmic Carbones.

These wheels came out with bright yellow stickers which at the time matched my CR-1 Team. Since upgrading to the stealth black looking R1 I have replaced the stickers with a set of silver replacements.

Scott Addict R1 2008 Review

addictr1_sml.jpgThe new race bike is now a 2008 Addict R1 kitted out with Campy Record (10 speed) and Mavic Cosmic Carbones. It's probably about time I put into writing how this frame is standing up against the other bikes I have owned.

Cervelo SLC-SL Review

cerveloslcsl_sml

A lot has been written about the Cervelo Carbon Soloist Super Light, or SLC-SL as its known. This has been my dream bike since it was released in 2006, and it took some justification before I parted with my hard earned cash and bought one back in January this year.

Scott Addict R1 - 6.835kg

Addict R1This is my new Scott Addict R1 that I got to replace my CR1 Team Issue. It took a little bit of investment on my part, and I did eventually decide that I needed :-) new record 2008 components, and now I have a pretty sweet 6.835kg ride.

Scott CR-1 Team Issue Review

Scott CR 1 Team The Scott CR-1 Team edition caught my eye in my local bike shop and that was all that was needed.  Soon I was taking the new bike home, with matching Mavic Cosmic Carbone wheels.

Campagnolo Record Carbon Crank
Record CranksetCampagnolo make some very beautiful components, and the Record Carbon Crankset is certainly that. This is not the new 2007 Ultratorque set because I dont own that yet, but rather the 2006 model.

Campagnolo Eurus
Campagnolo EurusThe Campagnolo Eurus wheels I have are now a couple of years old but I thought you might still be interested in my views about how they perform when they are ridden by an amateur oversize rider.

Chamois Cream

Chamois Cream. Whats that you ask? Its something I only found out about recently. Since starting cycling only a small number of years ago there have been a few lessons I have learnt along the way.

Cinelli RAM
Cinelli RAMThe Cinelli RAM handlebar is definitely a thing of beauty. When you ride your bike with this handlebar installed you get attention. I got this bar when I purchased the Cervelo R2.5 (see photo).
