The dates for the Big Save Elite & U23 Road National Championships and Age Group National Championships have been announced today with the New Year and May seeing the nations best riders taking on their respective championships.
The 2017 Big Save Elite & U23 Road National Championships will return to Napier for a second time since it returned to the North Island last year. In 2016 it was Rushlee Buchanan who ran away with the women’s time trial and road race to complete a clean sweep of being the reigning national criterium, time trial and road race champion.
The elite men’s road race saw Jason Christie attack the breakaway and race away to the win, while in the time trial it was Patrick Bevin who showed that he would be one to watch as he entered his rookie World Tour season by winning against the clock.
