Chris Froome, Richie Porte, Alberto Contador, Nairo Quintana and co will do battle in the mountains. Marcel Kittel, Andre Greipel, Mark Cavendish and Nacer Bouhanni will go head-to-head in the furious fast finishes. But what of the rest? Who are some of the under-the-radar riders who could play a major impact in this year’s Tour de France?
We’ve listed our top ten of riders we think you might not be looking out for but really should. These are not the riders we generally talk plenty about but nevertheless they could have a big influence on the race. We’ve deliberately kept out our Kiwis, because naturally we’ll be looking out for how they fare anyway. While most/all of the names you’ll be familiar with, most of them are either not complete leaders or they are parts of teams with multiple goals during the race.
We want to know who you think might rise up from under the radar to make significant impacts on the 2017 Tour de France. Let us know in the comments box below.
